Brotherhood Nursery School

At Brotherhood we strive to enrich and enhance emotional, social, spiritual, physical and cognitive growth in our students. We cultivate curiosity, creativity, and confidence in a play-based program. We recognize that young children express themselves in different ways; we must tap into the distinctive style of each child so that we, in partnerships with families, may help each child reach their full potential. We want every child to feel comfortable enough to try, secure enough to risk failure and excited enough to persevere. 

Our school embraces families from all backgrounds and cultivates a connection to Jewish values and tradition. Families are partners in the work that we do, joining with children and teachers to celebrate Jewish life and learning.

Our mission is for children to feel comfortable and confident as they explore freely, learn broadly and, meet appropriate challenges accordingly.

Philosophy

Our early childhood program, inspired by the schools in Reggio Emilia, Italy, provides a warm and nurturing environment for children. 

The program recognizes that children are eager to explore and learn, competent, resourceful, ready to collaborate, and full of wonder and delight.

Our interactive classroom environments stimulate all areas of a child’s development, including social, emotional, spiritual, physical and cognitive. We seek to nurture a child’s curiosity and sense of community and cultivate a connection to Jewish values and traditions. Our families are partners in the work we do, joining with children and teachers to celebrate and practice Jewish life and learning.
